About Kristen Vaughan
My name is Kristen (Foglio) Vaughan, and I'm a lifelong resident of Monroe County and a proud member of the Smithfield Township community, where I have lived for the past 12 years. I am a wife and a mother of two, who deeply values family, community, and service.
After spending years as a dedicated associate teacher with Colonial IU 20, I made the decision to step away from my teaching career to focus on raising my children and managing their busy schedules. During that time, I also started my own business, allowing me to stay active and involved in our community while maintaining a flexible schedule.
Now that my children are older, I'm excited for the opportunity to serve our community in a new way. I am running for Smithfield Township Tax Collector because I believe in honest, efficient, and responsive local government. With a strong work ethic, and background in education, business, and community involvement, I am confident in my ability to maintain integrity and professionalism in this role.
